McBeef Builder Hybrid – Sires

Since 2002 we at McBee Cattle Company have been producing a Braunvieh/Angus Hybrid animal to help our commercial customers simplify their breeding and production programs. Called the McBeef Builder Hybrid, they are made from our best purebred and fullblood Braunvieh cows mated to some of the best Angus genetics we could find, through both natural breeding and artificial insemination.

MYSTIC HILL EMULATION 2T28

2T28 was the second Angus bull that we selected to use in our Hybrid program to continue adding performance and carcass merit. His offspring have continually been at the top of the carcass ratios and they are full of capacity. The daughters in our herd are big ribbed and some of our easiest fleshing cattle.

MCBEEF BUILDER F2 558R 7688

A product of Spring SELECTION DAY 2019 with a MGR 96, REA 102, IMF 103. He showed good potential to be a heifer bull with a 56 lb birth wt and his sire being F1 558R from SEL DAY 2006, MGR 105, REA 127, IMF 86 that was also used on a lot of heifers. His dam showed a BR 2 @ 92 with them averaging 74 lb at birth. He has shown calving ease with short gestation as expected.

Also ratioed in Spring SELECTION DAY 2018 at MGR 95, REA 100, IMF 128. He had a 60 lb birth wt and his dam carries a BR of 10 @ 92 and goes back to our calving ease Fullblood leader H106 “Boxcar”. He also showed the credentials to use on heifers and has been used individually and in a multiple sire group with F2 6607.

MCBEEF BUILDER F2 310Z 4663

Another son of the F1 310Z bull that went through the 2016 SELECTION DAY with a MGR 105, REA 127 and IMF 89. His dam has a Birth Ratio of 11 @ 94, a Wean Ratio of 10 @ 101 with a Calving Interval of 11 @ 381 days and is still producing at 13 years of age. 4663 is being used along with his sire and half brother to keep growth, volume, longevity and muscle in our Hybrid program.

MCBEEF BUILDER F2 310Z 4655

A son of the F1 310Z bull out of one of our favorite F1 Hybrid cows, 5176. He is a graduate of SELECTION DAY 2016 with a MGR 117, REA 113 and IMF 82. His dam has a Birth Ratio of 12 @ 102, a Wean Ratio of 12 @ 102 , a Calving Interval of 13 @ 376 days and is still producing at 15 years of age. 4655 is being used in 2 herds extensively for polled growthy calves that mature into good females.

VISTA F2 NB U309 9393 1518

This bull was purchased out of the Vista program for some outcross genetics to add to our Hybrid program. He has really made some fine daughters and has had several top indexing bulls in past sales. His progeny ratios from use in 3 herds are BR 79 @ 99 and WR 75 @ 102. He is deceased but we have semen that will let us add his genetics for a long time.

MCBEEF BUILDER F2 2901 6607

This bull was ratioed in Spring SELECTION DAY 2018 at MGR 86, REA 101, IMF 117. With a 62 lb birth wt and being sired by the F1 2901 bull from SEL DAY 2013, MGR 140, REA 103, IMF 100 and being out of a calving ease F2 1518 cow, we are using this bull on Hybrid heifers with good success.

MCBEEF BUILDER F2 8384 2637

A top son of our F1 Hybrid herdsire, 8384, and a good producing daughter of F1 458P, SEL DAY 2005 with MGR 108, REA 98 and IMF 131. The 2637 bull went through SEL DAY 2014 with MGR 112, REA 101, IMF 125. He has 86 recorded progeny with a BR of 97. Proven calving ease with superior milking daughters. His dam has a BR of 10 @ 96 with a WR of 11 @ 106 and a Calving Interval of 11 @ 390 days.

4Z MR 310Z PLD

This bull was purchased out of the Vista program in Texas to help us increase the growth in our Hybrid program and he has not disappointed. He is certainly one of our heaviest use bulls on our Hybrid cows and has been in the top 1% of the Sire Summary for WW and YW since his first calf crop. He is sired by the Basic Beef 11L bull out of a Polled Apache halfblood cow which was bred by the 4Z program in Oklahoma. As of August 2020, he has 120 recorded weaning progeny with a ratio of 102 in 4 herds. His sons repeatedly top our MGR growth indexes and have been the top sellers in many of our sales.

MCBEEF BUILDER F2 474P 3629

This bull is probably the most proven heifer bull that we have ever produced. A graduate of SELECTION DAY 2015 with a MGR 97, REA 100 and IMF 105, he is sired by our F1 474P Hybrid bull that was MGR 110, REA 107 and IMF 115 in SELECTION DAY 2005. The 3629 bull has been the AI bull that all of our Hybrid and BU Influence sale heifers have been bred to the last 6 SEL DAY Sales. As of August 2020, he has 57 recorded progeny with a birth ratio of 98 in 4 herds.

MR RIVER HILLS M2323

2323 was the first F1 Hybrid bull that we selected to use naturally on our first F1 heifers that were all sired by AI Angus bulls on our best Braunvieh cows. He has helped us get our Hybrid herd started on the right foot with his tremendous female producing ability. He is deceased, but lives on through lots of daughters in our herd as well as customers’ herds.

MCBEEF BUILDER F1 458P

458P is a son of the 650M Angus bull and was one of the top ratioing Hybrid bulls in all categories in SELECTION DAY 2005 where an interest was purchased by Vista Genetics, Texas. Measuring a MGR 108 and IMF of 131, he has become our mainstay on calving ease in our first calf heifers through AI. He has shown his worth in extending our second generation F1 program (F2’s) while improving overall calving ease, maternal strength and marbling.

MCBEEF BUILDER F1 558R

558R was a top performer and prospect in SELECTION DAY 2006 where Tacoma Cattle Co. purchased a 1/2 interest for his MGR of 105 and REA of 127. A product of an AI Angus sire and one of our very top producing Purebred Braunvieh cows, he is continually in the upper percentile in the Herd Sire Summary for several EPD traits and his offspring are some of the best doers that we have every year. We also use him on heifers through AI.

8384 is an outcross F1 bull that we chose to bring  some new genetics to our McBeef Builder Hybrid program. His picture can not do justice to the massiveness and overall dimension of this bull. His calves are some of our best gainers and display the volume and depth of rib of their sire. His daughters are making exceptional, high volume cows. Sons have continued to be top ratioing bulls in our SELECTION DAY Sales.

474P could have a book written about what he has done for our Hybrid program. The top selling bull in our SELECTION DAY 2005 with a 1/2 interest going to Kruse Farm, Missouri. He indexed MGR 110, REA 107 and IMF of 115. He is sired by the 2323 F1 bull and out of one of the top 3 C102 Purebred cows that we own. He is a 3/4 blood bull that adds size, dimension and lots of volume to his offspring and is the sire of some of the very best Hybrid cows in our herd as well as several customers’ herds. He is deceased but still being used every season by AI.

MCBEEF BUILDER F1 8521

8521 was the top measuring yearling hybrid bull in SELECTION DAY 2009, purchased by Cutting Edge Genetics, Missouri. He ratioed MGR 109, REA 124 and IMF 112. His dam is our very best polled purebred C102 daughter and his sire is our 2T28 Angus bull. A top growth bull with probably the biggest spread between BW and YW of any bull we own.

 MCBEEF BUILDER TEB F1 4407 2901

2901 was another top performing and very popular bull in SELECTION DAY 2013 going to Boulden Farms, Missouri. His ratios were MGR 140, REA 103 and IMF 100. His is sired by an AI Angus bull out of a Fullblood 126L cow and had an actual birth wt. of 58 lb. We were able to purchase this bull back to use on F1 and F2 heifers until he got too big. Being used on lots of Hybrid cows now.
